Kim Joo-hyung, who broke the locker room door after losing the DP World Tour and Korean Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Tour's Genesis Championship in overtime, will not appear before the KPGA's penalty committee on Saturday.
Kim informed the KPGA through his Korean agent on Friday that he would not be able to attend the penalty committee.
Instead, Kim said he would submit a written statement of his case.
Kim was accused of ripping off the locker room door after losing to Ahn Byung-hoon in a playoff at the Genesis Championship at Jack Nicklaus Korea Golf Club in Incheon on March 27.
